The Council of the City of Portsmouth (1928)
The following is transcribed from the Council Year Book (1928-1929). Some additional information may be drawn from "The Records of the Corporation" by William Gates. On July 4th a new Ward of Meredith was established (see New Ward map) and the names of Mile End and Town Hall were replaced with Nelson and Guildhall.
