December 6th 1954 - Nat Gonella plays at the Empire Theatre all week.
December 10th 1954 - Ted Heath and his Music play at the Savoy Ballroom.
December 11th 1954 - The Portsmouth Glee Club present a Christmas concert with Max Jaffa, Gwen Catley, Reginald Kilbey and Jack Byfield at the Wesley Central Hall, Fratton Road. Reg Bannistra and his Orchestra play on South Parade Pier with Wally Fry and his Collegians.
December 13th 1954 - Ted Ambrose and his Jazzmen play at the Savoy Ballroom.
December 14th 1954 - John Courtney and his Melody Quintette play at the Co-operative Hall, Fratton Road.
December 17th 1954 - Ken Mackintoch and his Orchestra play at the Savoy Ballroom. Ad in the Evening News;- Sunday evening is 'melody evening' at the Eastney Tavern, Cromwell Road, Eastney.
December 18th 1954 - Johnny Lyne and his Music play at the South Parade Pier with Wally Fry and his Collegians.
December 24th 1954 - Norman Burns and his Band play at the Savoy Ballroom with resident Benny Freedman Orchestra.
December 26th 1954 - Dave Shand and his Band play at the Savoy Ballroom.
December 28th 1954 - The Broadway Orchestra play at the Rock Gardens Pavilion.
December 31st 1954 - The High Curley Stompers join Benny Freedman and his Orchestra at the Savoy Ballroom. Lani Kris and his Hawaiian Whispering Strings play at the Bastion Road House Hilsea.
