November 27th 1955 - World famous guitarist Segovia performs at the Kings Theatre with the Southern Philharmonic Orchestra.
 
November 28th 1955 - Barry McCarthy and his Jazzmen play at the Savoy Ballroom.
 
November 30th 1955 - The Portsmouth Philharmonic Society give a concert at Cathedral House Portsmouth with a violincello solos by Ernest Zeffert. Portsmouth Licensing Justices rule that the juke box at Brad's Cafe 13 Greetham Street must not be played on Sundays.
 
December 2nd 1955 - Ronnie Scott and his 20 piece Orchestra play at the Savoy Ballroom.
 
December 3rd 1955 - Two bands at the South Parade Pier, Wally Fry and his Collegians, plus Reg Bannistra with Johnny Lyne.
 
December 5th 1955 - Billy Testini and his Music play at the Savoy Ballroom.
 
December 6th 1955 - Graham Leslie and his Music play at Kimbells.
 
December 9th 1955 - Vic Lewis and his Orchestra play at the Savoy Ballroom.
 
December 10th 1955 - Max Jaffa, Reginald Kilbey and Jack Byfield appear with the Portsmouth Glee Club in a Christmas Concert at the Wesley Cenral Hall, Fratton Road. Two bands at the South Parade Pier, Wally Fry and his Collegians, plus Reg Bannistra with Johnny Lyne.
 
December 12th 1955 - Portsmouth girl, 21 year old June Harvey of 2 Longs Road win the area finals of the "Vocalist of the year" contest at Brighton and will now take part in the UK finals at the Royal Albert Hall, London. Gerry Brown and his Dixielands play at the Savoy Ballroom.
 
December 13th 1955 - Roy Richards and his Mayfair Music play at the Savoy Ballroom.
 
December 14th 1955 - The Portsmouth Bach Society give a choral music concert at St Mary's Church.
 
December 16th 1955 - Malcolm Mitchelll and his Orchestra play at the Savoy Ballroom.
 
December 17th 1955 - Two bands at the South Parade Pier, Wally Fry and his Collegians, plus Reg Bannistra with Johnny Lyne.
 
December 19th 1955 - The Regal Five play at the Savoy Ballroom.
 
December 20th 1955 - Roy Richards and his Mayfair Music play at the Savoy Ballroom.
 
December 23rd 1955 - Joe Loss and his Orchestra play at the Savoy ballroom. Portsmouth born band leader and multi instrumentalist Johnny Hawkins from Cosham, educated at St John's College, is now resident in Paris.
 
December 24th 1955 - Benny Freedman and his Orchestra play at the Savoy Ballroom with Graham Leslie and his Orchestra. The Graham Leslie Orchestra are advertised as also appearing at Kimbells the same night. Mick Mitchell and his Music are joined at the Empress Ballroom by Barry McCarthy and his Jazzmen. Two bands at the South Parade Pier, Wally Fry and his Collegians, plus Reg Bannistra with Johnny Lyne.
 
December 26th 1955 - Benny Freedman and his Orchestra play at the Savoy Ballroom with Graham Leslie and his Orchestra. The Graham Leslie Orchestra are advertised as also appearing at Kimbells the same night. At The Theatre Royal Issy Bonn appears.
 
December 29th 1955 - Roy Richards and his Mayfair Music play at the Savoy Ballroom.
 
December 30th 1955 - Teddy Foster and his Radio band play at the Savoy Ballroom.
 
December 31st 1955 - At Kimbells, Roy Richards and his Mayfair Orchestra are joined by The Lani Kris Hawaiian Quartet. At the Savoy ballroom, Benny Freedman and his Orchestra are joined by The Lani Kris Hawaiian Quartet.
